My grandmother in Illinois passed away.  She was always there for me especially after my mom passed away.  I remember the wonderful times I had in Illinois with her and my grandpa.  I know that she is in heaven now with him and mom.  I miss her so much and love her will all my heart.

Mood:  sad

It's hard to believe that on Sept 14th, next Tuesday it will have been 3 years since mom passed away.  So much has changed in 3 years.  We have sold all but 1 of the horses.  The one thing I think of the most is how much mom has missed with Keith.  I will never forgot how she put him before anyone and anything.  He talks about her a lot and he remembers a lot.  She made such a big impression on him and I don't think he will ever forget her.  He knows how much she loved him.  I really do miss her and my heart aches and I'm sure it always will.  Some days are better than others but I thank God that we had the time we did together.  We forgave each other for everything that had ever happened between us.  I feel that was very important.  Please do not think you have your whole life to forgive someone, do it today, do it now, you DO NOT know what the future holds for you.  It's not worth carrying around a huge burden that can easily be let go.  Remember to put family first!  I thank mom for showing me that.  I hope to do her proud next show season.   I miss and love you mom!

I wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  The holidays are just not the same without mom.  I made deer meat tacos just like she would have, I'm going to continue the tradition.  I love you mom, Merry Christmas!

Mood:  sad

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and was able to be with their families.  This year it seemed different to me.  I am also worried about Christmas.  Our family is getting together the Sunday before which I am thankful for because more of us can get together that day but that leaves Christmas for the first time with us not going to a big get together.  I know that things change but I would love to be able to go to mom's on Christmas eve for deer meat tacos and then all of us get together on Christmas day at grandma and grandpa's.

I found mom's baby book and was looking in it.  On one of the pages it said she asked about god and grandma told her that god was in heaven and when she died she would see him there.  I know that she is in heaven and is in no pain and able to ride her horses without it hurting but I wish she was here.  I miss her, Keith misses her, we talk about her all the time and look at pictures.  The other day he said he couldn't remember how she smelled.  That really saddened me.  What if his memories of her are going away, I can't let that happen.  That was one of the things that she worried about and I'm going to make sure that he knows her forever.  She loved him so much and would drop everything just to see him for even a minute.  She showed me how important family was to her and I'm going to do the same.  Family is so important, put aside any differences you have and spend time with them.  You never know how long you have with them here on earth.  I know that one day we will be together again but until then I will continue to talk to her, ask for her help and never forget all the great times we had together as a family.

2 years
Mood:  sad

It has been just over 2 years since mom has passed.  Doesn't seem like it could be that long.  There are so many things going on right now.  I am trying to focus on family.  It's hard with everyday distractions.

I am trying to ride more.  I loved showing this year and am looking forward to showing more!

Hope everyone had a great summer.  Now onto the holidays!

We sold Company to a great home and now we have 3 horses left.  Sky, Jaws (who we are trying to sell), and Zipper (who is no longer a stud).

Also today is my grandma's 81th birthday!  Tongue out

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Mood:  happy

My husband and I had a church wedding ceremony Saturday April 11th!  It was wonderful.  It was a beautiful day and one that I will remember forever.  We had lots of family and friends share this important event with us.  I missed mom so much but I know she was watching over us!

The Holidays are very hard without mom.  I think of so many things that she used to do for everyone and I miss it so much.  The saying is true, you don't know what you have until it's gone.  So make sure to tell your loved ones just how much they mean to you and do something extra special for them!
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
